Deer of Loch Coruisk photo print

ShopWall artDeer of Loch Coruisk photo print

Deer roaming the shores of Loch Coruisk, the Isle of Skye. My closest encounter to wild deer, within touching distance. Seemingly not phased by my presence allowed me to get to a desired angle and capture the Cuillin mountain ridge as a backdrop. It took me a few hundred images to achieve this.

I am a photographer originally from the countryside in Scotland. My work holds a preference in utilizing natural light and color aiming to illustrate experiences literally as I see them, documenting the peaceful combination of nature and man through composition and the element of secludedness. Throughout my imagery lies a vast sense of overwhelming landscape surrounding the micro aspect of mankind, conveying insignificance and feebleness in the face of epic landscape.
